| About DJ Excellence DJ Excellence, whose real name is Philippe Siarri was born in Sweden in 1981. A Paris resident, he holds the dual Swedish/French citizenship. He got into Rap music in 1990 when he saw Hip Hop bands such as Public Enemy and RUN-DMC on TV. Fascinated by this musical form, he started producing music around 1999/2000. He quickly developed a simple but effective production style, that often incorporates scratches. An avid record collector, Excellence likes sampling jazz, funk and Soul. He has collaborated with emcees from all over the world and is staff at illmuzik.com, an online community for Hip Hop producers. |
